Lucie Nuts

Lucie NutsThe most economical and versatile way to feed lucerne. The Nuts are fatter than many pellets, with a coarser grist. Soaked, they form a fine chop. In small amounts, they can be mixed into plenty of soaked, unmolassed beet pulp. Soaked with beet pulp, they make a complete feed to replace hay for horses sensitive to dust. Elderly horses find this easy to eat. Safe for laminitics. A handful can be scattered around the stable or paddock to extend eating time and relieve boredom. Will provide muscle and top line without alteration to temperament.

Lucie Cobs

Lucie CobsSun-dried Lucerne chop is compressed into mini biscuits that are soaked before use to produce a succulent and very palatable feed. Ideal for fussy horses. An essential for competition horses, providing a drink in a feed that can be eaten at any time. The Lucie Cobs absorb 4 times their volume of water, supplying food, water and electrolytes. Keep a bag in the wagon so they are always there for shows! Useful source of Selenium and vitamin E, and because they are sun-dried, of Vitamin D.

Lucie Brix

Lucie BrixAll the benefits of pure Lucerne, compressed into 1kg (approx.) block. Soaks to form a succulent chop within an hour, use 5 litres of water per brix. Can also be fed whole and dry to mimic grazing, which may reduce the tendency to chew wood. Easy and convenient to feed.

PuraBeet

PuraBeetPure unmolassed beet pulp. Once the sugar has been taken away from beet pulp, a very useful fibre feed remains, highly digestible and holding a considerable amount of water for use later. We ensure beet is unmolassed, so not affecting temperament by raising blood sugar levels. Increases in volume 6 times when soaked. Safe for laminitics. Excellent for horses in prolonged work, helping maintain hydration. Supplies calcium and lysine.

Blue Bag Grass Pellets

Blue Bag Grass PelletsHorses that do well at grass in the summer but drop off when stabled or in the winter thrive on grass nuts. The Blue Bag Grass Pellets provide good quality grass all year round and suit most horse and ponies in moderate work. Thoroughbreds do especially well on them. Use with confidence knowing that you are feeding only grass. The pellets are small enough for feeding balls.

Enduro CompleteA complete feed based on lucerne with a raft of other nourishing ingredients including linseed, seaweed, brewers’ yeast, beet pulp and salt. Use as a complete manger feed at home, but also when travelling and staying away from home for competitions, it can form the total diet. Moisten well with water for an instant wet feed. Free from all added sugars, grains and pulses, so suitable for elderly, laminitic and horses prone to tying up. A balanced blend of highly nutritious ingredients with nothing artificial and as like all the SS feed range totally free from all cereal products, by products, molasses and additives. Eclipse RecoveryDeveloped specifically for moody mares, hormonally challenged, stressed and temperamental equines. Comprised of Instant Linseed, Traditional Brewers Yeast and Epsom Salts (magnesium sulphate). An effective complementary feed offering high levels of nutritional support, good quality proteins, natural B vitamins and extra magnesium. Stressed horses respond to vitamin B; hormonal ones can improve with yeast or linseed; and low magnesium levels have been associated with behavioural difficulties.
